Paul B. Edelberg
Paul B. Edelberg, Esq. is counsel to the law firm of Murtha Cullina LLP and is resident in its Stamford, CT office, where his practice focuses on counseling privately held companies both domestically and internationally. Paul is a member of the firm’s International Business Practice Group (within which he heads the firm’s China practice), its Privately Owned Business Practice Group and its Private Equity Practice Group. As part of the firm’s International Business Practice Group, he counsels both US companies doing business overseas and foreign companies doing business in the U.S. His experience includes domestic and international private equity and venture capital transactions, cross-border structuring, mergers and acquisitions, international debt and equity financing transactions, international trade, sales distribution agreements, export control compliance and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance.
Mr. Edelberg has been active both in the greater Stamford community and within the State of Connecticut on international and China matters. He is a former Chairman of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves as Chairman of the Chamber’s International Trade Council. He chairs the International Committee of the Connecticut Venture Group. He is a member of the Connecticut chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Connecticut Export Council and the Connecticut China Council. He also serves on the China Committee of the International Law Section of the American Bar Association and is co-editor of its China Law Reporter. Mr. Edelberg has written several articles and has lectured on China and international legal and business topics.
Mr. Edelberg received his J.D. degree, with honors, in 1976 from the University of Connecticut Law School, where he was an editor of the Connecticut Law Review, and his B.A. degree in 1972 from Wesleyan University.
