Paul B. Edelberg

Paul B. Edelberg is a partner with the national law firm Fox Rothschild LLP. Resident in the firm's Stamford, CT office, Mr. Edelberg represents privately owned companies in corporate, commercial and international law matters. A member of the Corporate and International Groups at Fox Rothschild, Mr. Edelberg has a multifaceted practice that enables him to serve the domestic and international needs of a wide range of clients, particularly those with interests in China. He also counsels both U.S. companies doing business overseas and foreign companies doing business in the United States in matters involving international private equity and venture capital transactions; cross-border structuring; international debt and equity financing transactions; trade and trade finance; sales distribution agreements; export control compliance; joint ventures; and Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA) compliance. In addition, Mr. Edelberg handles complex mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions for privately held companies and community banks.

Mr. Edelberg is recognized within the State of Connecticut and the City of Stamford for both his professional and community activities and has taken a leadership role in China and international activities on a local and statewide basis. He serves as co-editor of the China Law Reporter of the China Committee of the American Bar Association's International Law Section, where he also serves as its vice chair. In addition, Mr. Edelberg has written and lectured extensively on China and international legal and business topics. He is a former chairman of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as chairman of the Chamber's International Trade Council. Mr. Edelberg serves on the board of the Connecticut chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and is a member of the Connecticut District Export Council and the Connecticut China Council.

Mr. Edelberg spearheaded the establishment of the UConn Center for Globalization and Commerce and the Stamford Chamber International Trade Resource Program (SITREP).

Mr. Edelberg received his J.D. degree, with honors, in 1976 from the University of Connecticut Law School, where he was an editor of the Connecticut Law Review, and his B.A. degree in 1972 from Wesleyan University.
